Greetings! The Korean American Census Task Force (KACTF) and US Census Bureau would like to cordially invite you to our Census 2010 Walk-a-Thon.
As you may know, KACTF has been conducting various community based initiatives to help educate the community about the importance of the upcoming Census and to promote participation within the community. From grassroots community outreach at local churches and supermarkets to educational workshops on how to correctly complete the Census questionnaire, KACTF has been in the forefront of publicizing the Census within the community.
This upcoming Walk-a-Thon event will be another local community based event taking place on March 27th, 2010, beginning at Lippman Plaza (across from the Main Municipal Parking Lot) in Flushing at 01:00 PM.
This will be a great opportunity for you to meet with KACTF and various Korean community leaders that will be attending this event and also reach out to the Korean constituents in your community.

So far, a lot of local politicians will attend: Assemblywoman Grace Meng, Councilman Peter Koo, Councilman Dan Halloran and currently waiting for a reply from Comptroller John Liu.
