On September 17th at Lighthouse International, the Asian American Federation awarded the Korean American US Census Resource Center a commemoration plaque, honoring the Center’s work with the 2010 Korean American Census Task Force. The Federation held a review session with all of the Asian organizations regarding the Census campaigns in the morning, and awarded commendations to these organizations in the evening. The Asian American Federation contributed its own donations to not only the Korean American society, but for other Asian groups as well. Also, the Federation has worked hard to increase Asian-American participation in the 2010 Census.

New York City Councilman Peter Koo (Queens – 20) attended the ceremony as well and congratulated the efforts of Asian organizations.
