Dear 2010 Korean American Census Task Force,

Hello.

I am Seung Hwan Kim, system operator of Study USA (www.studyUSA.cyworld.com). Study USA is largest non-profit cyworld web club for pure international students gatherings that shares informations in studying overseas/visa/employment to 8,400 international students/preparing international students registered in 300 or more colleges in the 50 states of US. Jwa Min Nam (currently chemistry professor of Seoul University), while preparing for doctoral program in year 2000 established the website. Currently I’m the main system operator of this club. Last month, I was introduced to Dae Yong Kim through NYU Korean American students association vice president WooSung Kang (StudyUSA operator), and found out the importance of Census that will affect the the Korean community of 10 years later. Therefore, StudyUSA decided to help the Census campaign in maximum. Our effort in the campaign, hopes to become a little help in increasing the participation rate of Korean international students in US.

Here below are the StudyUSA’s personal matter that were created in effort for the Census campaign in February.

1.Poster production: The posters created from StudyUSA will be completed tomorrow. (We thought the current posters were not appealing to international students/ study abroad students. We are creating more using picture that will give visual effect with strong words.) The posters are not to be posted in walls, but it will made as web version to be posted in cyworld, facebook or KSA website. We are planning to use the official census 2010 logo and StudyUSA logo in the bottom of the poster, and was wondering if it will become a problem?

2. Plotting Census advertisement song: While discussing what will advertise the census in short time to international students, we thought of creating census advertisement song. Starting from last month, we were working on the song from the StudyUSA members. The final selected music will be produced as official sound source in Cyworld, and use it as main song in the StudyUSA club, and supply the song to 50 or more Korean American Student Associations in US for free. We were wondering by any chance, if this method will cause a problem in sound source title/copyright.

First, last December, we launched free presentation explaining preparation course in US doctoral/dental degree at Hanyang University’s International Conference Hall.
